Crowded and long wait. Better to go by 12 pm for lunch. We ordered mutton biriyani and Gunfire chicken, food was amazing and service was quick.

I just had an amazing meal at Thalappakatti! I ordered the mutton biryani and the chicken 65 biryani, and both were delicious. The rice had a different flavor in each dish, which was really interesting. The flavors were mild, but still flavorful. I would definitely recommend this biryani to anyone. The service was also good. The only downside was that we had to wait a bit for our food, but it was worth it! The atmosphere was nice and cozy, and I would definitely come back here again.

Dindigul Thalapakatti is a famous South Indian tamil non veg chain of restaurants. Their HSR branch is on the prime spot in 17th cross signal.
Food was okay when visited for dinner
Chicken fry boneless biriyani - did not have a fresh aroma of the biryani. Felt like it was just heated (2/5)
Idiyappam and mutton Paya - the idiyappams were soft. Mutton Paya was too good. (5/5)
Mutton pepper chukka - soft and tender mutton pieces. For the price, we felt the quantity could have been more. Hardly 7 pieces (4/5)
The ambience is good and you get good views of the HSR traffic signal.
The service was okay, because the restaurant tries to manage with people who are not aware of the dish and method of preparation. Only 1 person to guide on the food type.
This can be improved. Having people from other states to take orders is appreciated, but they should be educated about the dish.
Overall : 3/5 ( Much to improve and focus on) . Felt like it's not an usual Thalapakatti

I'm new to Bangalore. Like most bengalis, I too don't jump in excitement at the first glance of South Indian food. But this time, it was different.
Went for lunch at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. There was no waiting time, but it soon started to pack up fast. Being a South Indian chain, they have really outdone themselves with a fine selection of dishes and a curated menu to suit the North Indian palate (Bangalore, being the hub it is).
The most common question that any newcomer when they visit a restaurant, including myself asks is, 'What's the speciality here?' They have perfected the answer to that question. The staff will show you a full tray with 12 of their signature dishes to pick your fancy from. That's a definite win in the customer service and experience section.
The food was great, we ordered several dishes, including their biriyani rice, soup and the coolers, among other items.
Their service was fast, and all seemed very cohesive.
It's one thing to eat at a restaurant, but to connect with them, and fall in love with the food, and in turn with the city, is a whole new level.
Thalapakatti, you've made me grow fond of Bangalore a little more, thanks to your delicious dishes and courteous service.
I'll be back.
