Onam Sadhya was supposed to be served but here, even during corona pandemic, they decided to go buffet ( which they didn't inform over phone). And to make matters worse, they had the guts to charge ₹850 for a cold, imprudent, average or below average food.
When enquired about buffet during corona times, they have lame excuse of being understaffed.
Making money is important but not at the cost of safety & hygiene. Very bad customer service.. Avoid this place for your personal safety and wasting your heard earned money.

I took onam sadya parcel from this place. I paid 950 rupees for one sadya and it was not even worth 250 rupees. These people are just monetizing on every malayalees feelings for authentic food. The curries were very basic, sambar was watery. Didn't give any papadam. One payasam was good and the other was pathetic. Overall experience, feel cheated !

It was a splendid taste of Kerala. I liked all the dishes we tried. Idiyappam, Muttappam, Kerala Poratta, Mutton curry and egg curry. Nice ambience and all dishes were very well served. But yeah, way too costly. You can't afford to go on a regular basis. But giving it a short is worth it.

I have visited coconut grove multiple times, mostly the J.P Nagar branch, although I prefer the Church street one. I do like Coconut Groove because I like cuisine from Kerala. Some of the items are authentic, as-authentic-as-they-can -be, coming out of a restaurant kitchen.
The choices for vegetarians are quite limited but one can manage to survive a meal with non-vegetarians. My friends cherish french fries, it's pretty good, I must say. If you are a meat eater do not miss, mutton ularthiyathu and the prawn's masala, dry. The vegetarians may try the kadala ularthiyathu but I would not vouch for it. The variety of beer is limited, very limited. The draught beer (KF) is well priced, in 2018, 75 INR for a mug! Hard liquor is not available but that is true for all Coconut grove outlets, I suppose. The place is next to the ring road and therefore you must bear the vehicle noise.
If you go there with limited expectation, spend a short duration(90 minutes) and order selected items, you might have a decent experience.
And by the way, do not miss the appam/ egg appam(non-veg) variant being served from a live counter.
Try it with stew or just coconut milk.
