I frequently visit this beach whenever I visit Trivandrum. It’s a beautiful spot for morning joggers/ exercisers/ hangout spot for friends and family. There are lots of small spots serving different kinds of street food right from simple roasted peanuts to the various chaats and juice stalls. These days the beach access is restricted in the regular hours between 9 am till sunset because renovation work is going on to reconstruct the boardwalk area and access to the beach. However if you go early in the morning, you will have access to the beach. In the morning you can also witness the fishermen coming back from the sea and there process of hauling the fishing nets and ropes by the people in the shore. There are also some nice restaurants and the iconic Old Coffee house around for good food options. Old coffee house of presently closed but expected to reopen soon ( based on my conversations with the security guard at the beach). It’s a nice spot to view sunset and sunrise.

The Park for Children's is located near the Shangumugam Beach, which is a major tourist attraction in Trivandrum,, It is a perfect way to enjoy children around the age of 15,, Only few riders are present here,, But all of them are arranged in such a way that the children are engaged in enjoy,, It is one of the best places to be enjoyed by people of all ages and for peace of mind,, It has a very large parking facility,, You can enjoy this natural beauty.

Shanghumugam beach Park is a nice place to hang out... be with family or friends or even alone. The place is an eye candy to break out to city dwellers. With gentle breezy eternal weather one can make a plan any day for a casual evening. The structure of the lady is really creative.
