Since it's a legendary place, waiting in Q is a big drawback. But pregnancy cravings, I had to wait in Q and have the dosa?. But dosa was not hot when they served. Not even a bit. Maybe because of fans I guess. Loved the dosa but I would have loved it even more if I could get hot dosa

Visit here if you wish to have the best Benne masala dosa in Bangalore, period ! Specially for people who think Rameshwaram cafe and other hotels make good masala dosas . Trust me once you visit here you’ll forget all other places. Absolutely love the old Bangalore vibes this place still has. Other must try would be Vada and of course filter coffee to sim up a perfect ending.

I had the pleasure of finally experiencing the legendary Central Tiffin Room, and it was well worth the anticipation. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Benne Masala Dosa, which easily ranks among the best dosas I've ever tasted. The flavors were rich and satisfying, leaving me craving more.
I also had the opportunity to savor the delightful Kesar Bhath, a true testament to their culinary expertise. The burst of flavors in each bite was a delight to my taste buds. And let's not forget the Filter Coffee, which added the perfect finishing touch to my meal, enhancing my overall satisfaction.
Though the lack of an aesthetic ambiance and the long queue might be off-putting to some, I can confidently say that the food is more than worth the wait. The affordability of the menu is a pleasant surprise, given the high quality of the dishes.
As for constructive criticism, I would suggest that Central Tiffin Room consider expanding their space to accommodate the high demand. This would allow more patrons to enjoy their fantastic offerings without feeling cramped. Additionally, providing a more visually appealing environment could elevate the dining experience even further.

Reach early to beat morning rush! You will have to wait anyway...
Food though, is classic! Butter masala Dosa was crisp and tasty, alu palya and chutneys were awesome!
Poori and Sagu were tasty a well! Upma, idly and sambar were up to the mark.
Piping hot coffee topped it all off very nicely.
Will definitely visit again soon :)

I recently had the pleasure of dining at CTR Restaurant in Malleshwaram, Bangalore, and I must say it was a delightful experience. This legendary eatery is renowned for its authentic vegetarian delicacies, showcasing the true flavors of Bangalore. From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat.
The breakfast menu at CTR Restaurant is an extensive spread of traditional favorites. Whether you crave idli, vada, Khara bath, kesari bath, poori, Rava idli, or dosa, this place has it all. The flavors were exceptional, and each dish was prepared with great care and attention to detail. As a vegetarian food enthusiast, I was truly impressed by the quality and taste of the food.
However, I must mention that the service at CTR Restaurant was a bit slow. While the staff was friendly and accommodating, the waiting times during weekends were quite long. The restaurant tends to get heavily crowded, leading to a substantial queue. So, if you plan to visit on weekends, be prepared for a potential wait. But trust me, the flavorsome dishes are worth the patience.
The bustling atmosphere during peak hours added to the overall experience, and the restaurant exudes a charming old-world charm. The aromas and sounds from the open kitchen created an inviting ambiance that complemented the culinary journey.
If you decide to visit CTR Restaurant, my advice would be not to miss anything on the menu. Each dish has its unique flavor profile, and the kitchen excels in delivering authentic Bangalorean delicacies. Whether you are a fan of the soft idlis, crispy vadas, flavorful kesari bath, or the fluffy pooris, every bite is a culinary delight.
In conclusion, CTR Restaurant in Malleshwaram is a haven for authentic vegetarian delicacies of Bangalore. The taste of the dishes is wonderful, capturing the essence of traditional flavors. While the service can be a bit slow and weekends tend to be heavily crowded, don't let that deter you from experiencing the culinary magic that awaits. Make sure to explore the entire menu and savor each dish. Your taste buds will thank you for the journey!
