Vatakara new bus stand situates in a very convenient location . All long route,local buses including KSRTC touches the bus stand . But at night long route buses some times skip it. The bus stand is some what neat. The bathrooms are neat and the waste treatment system is a model to other local bodies. There is a branch of MRA Bakery & restaurant inside it . It is a notable one .They serve different types tasty veg and non veg foods,juices and icecreams and fast food. Milma milk booth ,fruit stalls and mobile recharge shops are here.There is a good book stall also. About 1/2 km to railway station ,old bus stand, Co-operative ,Govt district hospital and 300 mtrs to the petrol pump. 2 ATM facilities in front of the bus stand with in 100 mtrs. Sargalaya Craft Village, Siddhasramam, Lokanarkavu Temple are some of the must visit tourist destinations within 5 kms surroundings of Vatakara New Bus Stand complex.

First of all, this is not a shopping complex. It's new bus stand (Bus Depo) of Vadakara. With recent upgradation of this facility, it has had a make over like the one we could see today. Vadakara railway station is barely 2 KM from here (15 min walk). There are shops, snack parlours, police aid post, a restaurant within this bus Depo. The rickshaw bystand is just near by ( 1 min walk), local bus service are also accessible from this bus Depo. New bus stand is recommended if you are traveling out of Vadakara (like Kannur, Kozhikode etc). If you wanted to travel within Vadakara then opt for the old bus stand.
