Situated near Bhargavi river this is a must visit pilgrimage site. Also gets crowded around holidays as people prefer it as a picnic spot.

Baliharchandi Temple is situated on the sea shore in Brahmagiri area of Puri district and 6 kms left side of the kathubada chowk oh the main road which is between Puri and Brahmagiri. The temple is situated 27 kms to the south west of Puri town. Parking area is sufficient, two wheeler or four wheeler anyone can park the vehicle easily and visit the place. Goddess Baliharchandi is considered as one of the 8 Shakti pitha of Odisha. If you turn to the history of the place, tantric were also active here. So the pitha was also known as Tantric Pitha in ancient Odisha history. The Baliharchandi Temple consists of 2 structures which are Vimana and Jagmohana. The structure is built in sand stones which is also known as Baulamala and Kandapathar locally. You can see a beautiful view from the temple premise near to Havan Kund under a shed which is used to do Hawan and other Pooja. Jai Ma Baliharchandi ??

It is an old and beautiful temple with serene atmosphere. Maa baliharchandi, the goddess is also beautiful. The way the priests worship, it brings a sense of calm and joy. Overall, the temple is a beauty to witness.
Adding to the beauty of the temple, there's a beach nearby which is quiet and calm, and the best part is it isn't crowded like other beaches. One would red crabs over there, which is quite interesting. In order to reach the beach, we need to cross a river and a small patch of land which has eucalyptus trees. The scent of the trees and the sight of the beach, is indeed a pleasure to the senses.
