Dharnai is the India's first fully solar powered village having a well maintained three tier Gram Panchayat. With the sustainable efforts of Mukhiya Ajay Singh Yadav, an international Agency named Green Peace Foundation had made an investment of almost Rs. 3 crore in installing solar panel system in 2014, that completely changed the fate of this Dharnai village. Now it has well maintained Primary health care, Gram Bhawan, Model AanganWadi Centre and 24*7 electricity supply.
