Located in Assam - Agartala road , this market place has always been a busy area. After maharajganja market (gol bazar) this is one of the most happening market place for vegetables, fish and meat buyers of East Agartala residents. Of course, prices of most commodities are relatively high than "Gol bazar".

Fresh vegetables are available here for a moderate to higher price compared to other markets. Fresh fish, raw chicken and raw mutton is also available. Lots of Grocery shops, confectionery and sweets shops, bakery items, electrical goods, blacksmith, medicine's shops, press, school-colleges items, barbers, parlours, spectacle shop, tailors (ladies and gentlemen), government fair price shops, multiple two wheelers showroom and services centre, few psu and private banks, financial services, gyms are available here. Above all, multiple doctors chamber, dentists, an orthopedic nursing home is also available (with cashless card facilities for the eligibles).
